Breast Fat Transfer (Natural Breast Augmentation) in Boca Raton

Breast Fat Transfer generally runs $6,000–$14,000 per procedure, and each Boca Raton clinic sets its own price. The biggest variables are the provider's experience level and the specific device or product used. Newer technology and senior injectors price at the upper end. Pricing is quoted in US dollars (USD). Maintenance schedules vary. Most Boca Raton providers recommend periodic refresh sessions every 6–12 months once optimal results are achieved.

Most patients wait 24 hours before applying makeup to avoid irritation on freshly-treated skin.

Modestly. The ASPS positions the procedure for women looking for a relatively small increase who prefer natural results, and clinical guidance puts the change at one to two cup sizes at most from one operation, with one being the usual honest expectation. Some of the injected fat does not survive, so surgeons overfill and let it settle; the volume you see at three months is closer to the final than the one at one week. Patients who want more than that either accept a second round six months later or choose an implant.

You need enough fat to give: people with little body fat are not candidates, because the abdomen, flanks or thighs have to supply several hundred millilitres of usable fat. You need a stable weight, because fat transferred to the breast behaves like fat anywhere and shrinks or grows with the rest of you. You should not smoke, and obesity or large weight swings make results unpredictable. It suits women who want a natural, modest change, who want to avoid implants and their maintenance, who want asymmetry or a contour hollow corrected, or who are replacing implants they have had removed.

$6,000 to $14,000 in the US all-in, higher than a standard implant augmentation because it includes liposuction of one or more areas plus fat processing and injection, and higher again if a second round is needed. A combination with breast implant removal or a lift adds the cost of those procedures. Canadian pricing tracks similar figures in dollars. Insurance does not cover cosmetic fat transfer.

The safety questions were answered largely in reconstruction, where fat grafting has been used for decades. Landmark studies of 137 patients followed 7.6 years and of 1,024 breasts found no effect on breast cancer recurrence, the ASPS concluded in 2009 that fat grafting was not associated with higher malignancy rates, and the FDA in 2017 classed autologous fat grafts as allowed without premarket approval. Fat that does not survive can form small oil cysts or calcifications, which can show on a mammogram; radiologists can now consistently distinguish these from the calcifications of cancer, but they may call for additional imaging. Tell every radiologist you have had fat grafting, and have a baseline mammogram before surgery if you are of screening age.

Bleeding and bruising at both the donor and breast sites, infection, fat necrosis (fat that dies and forms firm lumps or oil cysts), fat that shifts or is absorbed unevenly, asymmetry, calcifications, and the liposuction risks of contour irregularity and numbness at the donor site. Fat embolism is a rare, potentially fatal complication reported across fat grafting; it correlates with technique, which is one more reason to choose a surgeon who does this routinely. There is no implant, so there is no rupture, contracture, or implant-associated lymphoma to think about.

Plan a week off work. The liposuction areas are bruised and wear compression for four to six weeks; the breasts are swollen and tender for two to three weeks, with swelling settling over three to six months, which is when the result is judged. No pressure on the breasts for the first weeks: a soft bra, no sleeping face down, no underwire. Fat that has survived at six months is there for good at a stable weight.

Implants give a predictable, adjustable, larger increase and a rounder upper breast, and come with a device that the FDA says is not a lifetime product and will need monitoring and eventually replacement. Fat transfer gives a smaller, softer, more natural change, slimmer donor areas, and nothing to replace, at the price of less predictability and the need for enough fat. Many women use fat transfer to soften the edges of an implant or to restore volume after removing one. The breast augmentation page covers implants in full; this page is the other route.
