Procedures and techniques named

  • Breast augmentation: round silicone implants for natural enhancementSilicone gel-filled implants may be round or anatomic in shape. For many Fort Worth women with adequate existing breast tissue, using a round silicone gel implant for their breast augmentation will often provide a very nice, natural-looking enhancement.
  • BBL: avoid pressure 4-6 weeks, use BBL pillowDr. Steele will recommend using a BBL pillow for sitting and avoidance of direct pressure on the buttocks area for four to six weeks after surgery.
  • Liposuction: outpatient, general or local anesthesia with sedationDr. Steele typically performs liposuction in Fort Worth as an outpatient procedure under both general anesthesia and local anesthesia with mild sedation. Small incisions are made and a metal tube (cannula) is used to place saline solution containing adrenaline and lidocaine into the fatty areas to be removed.
  • Liposuction: SAFELipo technique, power-assisted, smooth even removalA variety of different liposuction techniques are available, but Dr. Steele prefers the SAFELipo® technique pioneered by Dr. Simeon Wall Jr. This technique uses power-assisted liposuction (PAL) to safely separate the fat and then remove the fat in a smooth and even fashion which minimizes asymmetries and contour irregularities.
  • Tummy tuck: general anesthesia, outpatient, 3 componentsAn abdominoplasty is performed under general anesthesia as an outpatient procedure. There are 3 main components of a tummy tuck: tightening of the abdominal muscles, removal of excess skin, and removal of excess fat around the waist and hip area.
  • Tummy tuck: mini version, shorter incision, lower abdomenA tummy tuck with a shorter incision to remove an isolated, small amount of loose skin in the lower abdomen. The abdominal muscles may or may not be repaired in a mini-abdominoplasty.
  • Facelift: recommended for widespread aging and sun damageWhile skin care and minimally invasive procedures can provide some localized, temporary improvement, patients with widespread changes of aging and sun damage will benefit from a full facelift neck lift procedure in Fort Worth.
  • Blepharoplasty: upper, in-office, local anesthesiaIn many cases, Dr. Steele can perform an upper blepharoplasty or direct male brow lift in the office under local anesthesia, thereby avoiding the side effects and downtime associated with general anesthesia.
  • Breast reduction: non-smokers recommended due to wound riskMen who are good candidates for breast reduction surgery are also non-smokers. Nicotine can increase your risk of wound healing complications, tissue necrosis, and infection.
  • Gynecomastia: return to work in days, swelling 3-6 monthsYou can return to work to work within a few days after gynecomastia surgery. Exercise regimens are typically resumed by 4 weeks. Bruising will resolve by 2 weeks, but swelling will take 3-6 months for full resolution.

Before you book here

Verify three things yourself, whichever practice you choose: certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, or Royal College certification (FRCSC) in Canada; whether the operating facility is accredited or the surgeon holds hospital privileges for your exact procedure; and how many of that operation they perform each year. Our guide to choosing a plastic surgeon covers how to check each one.
