FAQ

Gynecomastia Surgery in Garden City: common questions

How much does Gynecomastia Surgery cost in Garden City?

Gynecomastia Surgery generally runs $4,500–$10,000 per procedure, and each Garden City clinic sets its own price. The biggest variables are the provider's experience level and the specific device or product used. Newer technology and senior injectors price at the upper end. Pricing is quoted in US dollars (USD). Request a consultation from any of our listed Garden City clinics for a personalized quote.

When will I see results from Gynecomastia Surgery?

Initial results in 2–4 weeks, with full results developing over 3 months as collagen builds. Garden City providers typically schedule follow-ups to track progress.

How long do Gynecomastia Surgery results last?

Results vary by patient, but most Garden City providers report 6–18 months of sustained benefit from a full Gynecomastia Surgery series.

How much does gynecomastia surgery cost?

Nationally, $4,500 to $10,000 including surgeon, anesthesia, and facility. Cases needing only liposuction sit lower. Cases combining gland excision with liposuction, which is most of them, sit in the middle. Severe cases requiring skin removal and nipple repositioning run higher. Insurance almost never covers it, since carriers classify it as cosmetic outside of rare documented pathology.

Why did diet and exercise not fix my chest?

Because in true gynecomastia the fullness is glandular breast tissue, not fat. Gland is firm, sits directly behind the nipple, and responds to hormones rather than to calories. Training the pecs can even make the appearance more prominent by pushing the tissue forward. Fat responds to weight loss, and many men have a mix, which is why an examination to establish the ratio comes before any plan.

What causes gynecomastia?

A shift in the balance between estrogen and testosterone. It is common and usually harmless during puberty, and often appears with age as testosterone declines. Specific triggers include anabolic steroids, certain medications, heavy alcohol or marijuana use, and, rarely, underlying medical conditions. A surgeon will ask about all of these, because removing the gland while the trigger continues invites recurrence of whatever tissue remains.

I am a teenager with gynecomastia. Should I have surgery?

Usually not yet. Pubertal gynecomastia appears in a majority of adolescent boys and resolves on its own within six months to two years for most. Surgeons generally want the tissue stable for at least a year and the patient past the main hormonal swings before operating. If it persists into the late teens and is causing real distress, it becomes a legitimate surgical conversation, and it is worth having alongside a hormone evaluation.

Will there be visible scars?

For most cases the incision is a small curve along the lower edge of the areola, where the color change hides it well, plus a few tiny liposuction ports. These typically fade to near invisibility. Severe cases with substantial loose skin need longer incisions, and that trade is discussed up front. Scar quality on the chest is generally good with proper aftercare and sun protection.
