Houston breast lift in a combined procedure known as “augmentation mastopexy.” Using this technique, Dr. Mohan can give you the size and shape that you desire and make dramatic improvement in the appearance of your breasts.
Additionally, Breast Lift surgery can reduce the size of large or stretched areolas, or be combined with breast augmentation with implants or a breast reduction , restoring a more youthful, contoured, naturally beautiful breasts.
Many women choose to combine a Breast Lift with implants, Breast Augmentation , or Breast Augmentation Fat Grafting for comprehensive recontouring and size enhancement.
While breast augmentation increases the volume and projection of breasts, it does not significantly lift breasts that are sagging. For that reason, many women who desire added volume and correction of drooping breasts choose to combine breast augmentation with a breast lift procedure.
The breast lift is performed in an outpatient surgery center or a hospital utilizing general anesthesia to ensure maximum comfort and safety for our patients.
A mastopexy in Houston is performed under general anesthesia, allowing you to rest comfortably throughout the procedure. Patients must not smoke for four weeks before and after surgery.
It is typical to experience some swelling and soreness following Breast Lift surgery. Your MHS surgeon will prescribe pain medication to ensure your maximum comfort, and most of our patients feel comfortable enough to switch to Tylenol after two or three days.
Dr. Ravi also specializes in incorporating the “internal bra” technique into the Breast Lift procedure to provide extra support and promote long-lasting results.
In collaboration with his colleagues at The Aesthetic Center for Plastic Surgery in Houston, Texas, Dr. Mentz developed an innovative new technique to improve the results and safety of combining breast augmentation with breast lift surgery.
A breast lift can be performed without implants or combined with implant-based breast augmentation.
Volume Adjustments: A breast reduction subtracts tissue. Conversely, patients who have lost massive amounts of weight may require an isolated breast lift to elevate empty skin, or a breast augmentation surgery using breast implants to restore lost upper pole fullness.
Good candidates for a breast lift are patients who are in good general health. Women above the age of 40 or those with a significant family history of breast cancer must have a mammogram before surgery.
A breast lift, also known as mastopexy, is a surgical procedure aimed at lifting and reshaping sagging breasts
Good candidates for a breast lift are individuals with sagging breasts, loss of breast volume, or downward-pointing nipples who desire a more youthful and uplifted breast appearance.
Depending on your needs, a breast lift may be performed as a stand-alone procedure or in conjunction with breast augmentation
A breast lift, clinically known as Mastopexy , is a surgical procedure designed to raise and reshape sagging breasts. Unlike a breast reduction (which removes significant tissue) or augmentation (which adds volume), a lift focuses on repositioning.
All breast lifts require incisions to remove excess skin. However, we place these incisions strategically (often around the areola or vertically down to the crease) so they are hidden by bikinis and bras.
The vertical breast lift, or lollipop lift, is a technique suited for moderate to severe breast drooping.
The anchor breast lift, also commonly known as an “inverted T-lift”, is the most extensive technique used to achieve the highest degree of lift for extreme breast sagging.
Dr. Bob Basu has pioneered an advanced breast lift procedure, breast lift auto-augmentation, which can give patients lift and volume without breast implants.
Breast lift surgery can be performed six months after ending breastfeeding your baby.
A breast lift does not replace lost volume or increase the size of your breasts.
Breast Lift generally runs $7,000–$14,000 per procedure, and each Houston clinic sets its own price. The biggest variables are the provider's experience level and the specific device or product used. Newer technology and senior injectors price at the upper end. Pricing is quoted in US dollars (USD). Request a consultation from any of our listed Houston clinics for a personalized quote.
Initial results in 2–4 weeks, with full results developing over 3 months as collagen builds. Houston providers typically schedule follow-ups to track progress.
Most patients wait 24 hours before applying makeup to avoid irritation on freshly-treated skin.
The simplest test is where your nipple sits relative to the fold beneath your breast. If it sits at or below that fold, a lift is what repositions it, and implants alone will not fix that. If your breasts sit high enough but have lost fullness at the top, implants restore that volume. Many patients want both, which is a combined augmentation with mastopexy, a longer operation with a slightly higher revision rate but a single recovery.
Scars depend on how much lifting is needed. A minor lift may need only a scar around the areola. Moderate lifting adds a vertical line from the areola to the fold, called a lollipop. Significant lifting adds a horizontal scar along the fold, called an anchor. Scars are permanent, red for several months, and typically fade to pale lines over one to two years. Any surgeon offering a significant lift with no scars is describing something else.
Most patients hold results for ten years or more, but skin continues aging and gravity does not stop. Weight fluctuation and subsequent pregnancy are the two things that most reliably undo a lift, which is why surgeons generally advise finishing childbearing first. Wearing good support and maintaining stable weight extends the result meaningfully.
Many patients can, though a lift carries somewhat more risk to milk ducts and nipple sensation than augmentation does, because the nipple is repositioned. If future breastfeeding matters to you, say so clearly at consultation, since technique choices can preserve more of the ductal system. And if you plan to have children soon, waiting is generally the better decision anyway.
Almost never as a cosmetic lift. Breast reduction, which removes tissue as well as lifting, is sometimes covered when documented neck, back, or shoulder symptoms meet a carrier's criteria. If you have both sagging and significant volume causing physical symptoms, ask the surgeon's office to explore reduction coverage rather than assuming the whole thing is out of pocket.
