Neuromodulator appointments take about 10 minutes. Using a fine needle, your provider injects small amounts of botulinum toxin into targeted muscles. You'll start seeing results in 3–7 days, with full effect at 2 weeks. Results typically last 3–4 months.
Common treatment areas include forehead lines, frown lines (glabella), crow's feet, brow lift, bunny lines, lip flip, chin dimpling, neck bands (platysmal bands), and hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). We also use neuromodulators therapeutically for migraines in some cases.
Our dermatology professionals assess moles using dermoscopy and remove concerning lesions safely with minimal scarring. We also remove benign growths like skin tags and cysts in the same visit, using techniques such as shave excision, electrocautery, or cryotherapy depending on the growth.
Cosmetic neuromodulator treatments are not covered by insurance. However, therapeutic use for hyperhidrosis or migraines may be covered with prior authorization.
Most skin tags are removed quickly using shave excision, electrocautery, or cryotherapy, and multiple tags can often be removed in the same appointment.
Skin tag removal is usually considered cosmetic and may not be covered unless a tag is irritated, bleeding, or otherwise medically bothersome.

Check two things first: whether your insurance plan needs a referral from your primary care doctor, and whether this practice is in your network. Cosmetic visits are paid out of pocket and need no referral. For a cosmetic treatment, ask who will perform it and how often they do it. For a skin check, a changing mole, a rash or anything that is bleeding or not healing, contact the practice directly and say what you have noticed.
