Kingston RoadSouth Pickering (Bay Ridges)Finch AvenueAjax (Harwood Avenue)

Two clinics on Kingston Road hold most of what Pickering has to say about itself in reviews. ChaimsPro Medical Aesthetics at 643 carries 928 at 4.9 and Laserbody MD at 375 carries 711, together 1,639 of the market’s 2,558. Vitaluxe Medi Spa & Clinic is further east at 1099. South of the 401, toward Frenchman’s Bay, four smaller studios sit within a few minutes of each other: The Facial Place on Salk Road, Deeper than Skin on St Martins Drive, Skintologist Spa on Annland Street and Modern Beauty Bar on Haller Avenue. NuLook Beauty & Medi Spa is north on Finch, Skincarebynicole on Sheppard and MVP Medical Aesthetics on Jackpine Crossing in north Pickering. Four listings are in Ajax: Injectables by Nurse J on Harwood Avenue South, DermAesthetica on Church Street, Aesthetics FC on MacKenzie Avenue and Secret Aesthetics on Blowers Crescent.

Thirteen of the fourteen list Botox, dermal fillers and lip filler. The shelf beyond that is narrow. Dysport is on six menus, Vitaluxe is the only Xeomin and Radiesse listing, and no tracked menu lists Sculptra; for that, look to Whitby or Scarborough. SkinVive is at Vitaluxe and MVP.

Devices are where Pickering is deep. Laser hair removal and microneedling are on thirteen menus, HydraFacial and chemical peels on twelve, BBL photofacial and skin tightening on eleven, and Morpheus8 on ten, a higher share than most Toronto suburbs. Laser skin resurfacing and facials are on eight each. Laserbody MD is the single listing for CoolSculpting, Emsculpt Neo, Ultherapy and hair restoration. Vitaluxe is the one clinic with medical weight loss and hormone replacement therapy, and IV therapy is on three menus.

Botox quotes CA$9 to 12 per unit, the same as Whitby and Oshawa and CA$1 to 3 under Scarborough, with Yorkville CA$2 to 5 higher again. Filler runs CA$550 to 750 per syringe, a three-session Morpheus8 package CA$1,900 to 2,500 and a six-session laser hair removal package CA$650 to 1,050 for a mid-sized area. The Ajax solo injectors and the south Pickering studios quote the low end.

Hours are the strength here. Ten of fourteen open Saturdays and six open Sundays: ChaimsPro 9 to 6 both days, Skintologist to 8 both days, NuLook Sundays 10 to 5, Secret 11 to 5, DermAesthetica 10 to 3 and Skincarebynicole 11 to 1. Weeknights run late as well: Vitaluxe 9 to 9 six days a week, ChaimsPro to 8:30, Skintologist to 9, and The Facial Place and Modern Beauty Bar to 8 most nights. Skintologist does not open until 4 or 5 on Monday through Wednesday, an after-work book by design. Laser series start in October and wrap before the waterfront trail fills in June; injectables peak in May and early December. Patients come from Ajax, Scarborough’s Rouge and Port Union neighbourhoods, Whitby, Uxbridge and Stouffville.

Eight of the fourteen hold a flat 5.0, though six of those have fewer than 50 reviews; NuLook at 175 and Deeper than Skin at 116 are the tested ones. The market averages 4.93. No dermatology or plastic surgery practice is on this list, so for injectables confirm the injector’s licence, RN, NP or MD, and for deeper Morpheus8 settings ask who the medical director is. Mark two or three clinics below and ClinicCompass will route your consultation request to each.

FAQ

Common questions about med spas in Pickering

Is going to a med spa safe?

Yes, when you pick the right one. Med spas with physician oversight (an MD or DO medical director) and treatments performed by licensed RNs, NPs, PAs, or physicians have a strong safety record. The biggest safety risks come from undertrained operators using aggressive settings, off-brand products, or skipping proper screening. In Pickering, all clinics listed on ClinicCompass include verified Google ratings. Read the review themes (look for consistent mentions of cleanliness, professionalism, and clear communication) before booking.

What should I expect at my first med spa appointment?

Most first visits start with a 20–45 minute consultation (no actual treatment yet). The provider will ask about your goals, medical history, medications, and budget; they'll examine the relevant area and recommend specific treatments. You should leave with a written plan, clear pricing, and realistic expectations of results. If you feel rushed, pressured to commit on the spot, or upsold on treatments you didn't ask about, that's a red flag. Walk away and consult elsewhere.

Does laser hair removal hurt?

Most patients describe it as a snapping or warm-rubber-band sensation with each pulse. Modern lasers include built-in cooling that significantly reduces discomfort, much better than older devices. Sensitive areas (bikini line, upper lip) feel more intense than larger areas (legs, back). Numbing cream is sometimes applied for sensitive zones. Most patients tolerate it without any pain management.

What's the best age to start Botox?

There's no universal "right" age. Most providers recommend starting in your late 20s or early 30s for "preventative Botox," small doses to soften dynamic wrinkles before they set permanently. Starting later (40s, 50s) is also effective; you'll just be treating existing lines rather than preventing them. The best starting point is whenever expression lines start bothering you at rest, not just when you smile or frown.

Can I drink alcohol before getting Botox or fillers?

Skip alcohol for 24 hours before injectables and for at least 24 hours after: alcohol thins the blood and significantly increases bruising risk. If you bruise easily or are getting a larger treatment, extend to 48 hours afterward. Also avoid blood-thinning supplements (vitamin E, fish oil, garlic, gingko) and OTC NSAIDs (Advil, aspirin) for 5–7 days before treatment unless medically necessary.

What's the difference between Botox and Dysport?

Both are botulinum toxin type A: same active mechanism, slightly different formulations. Dysport tends to onset 1–2 days faster and may spread slightly more (useful for broad areas like the forehead). Botox is more localized (useful for precise areas like around the eyes). Duration is similar (3–4 months for both). Per-unit pricing differs but the per-treatment cost is comparable. The biggest factor in your results is your injector's skill, not the brand.
