Check two things first: whether your insurance plan needs a referral from your primary care doctor, and whether this practice is in your network. Cosmetic visits are paid out of pocket and need no referral. For a cosmetic treatment, ask who will perform it and how often they do it. For a skin check, a changing mole, a rash or anything that is bleeding or not healing, contact the practice directly and say what you have noticed.
