Dual board-certified dermatologist and micrographic dermatologic surgeon R. Sonia Batra, MD, MSc, MPH
Targeting certain muscles with Botox can result in subtle, natural-looking changes to your appearance. Each treatment usually lasts about 3-4 months.
Because Botox and other neurotoxin injectables are not permanent, many patients receive follow-up injections to help maintain their treatment results over time. Your progress will be documented with photographs at each visit.
At Batra Medical, Surgical, and Cosmetic Dermatology, we offer a variety of treatments including Cosmelan and chemical peels such as mandelic acid, glycolic acid, tricholoroacetic acid (TCA), and VI Peel.
Superficial chemical peels are generally safe for all skin types. It is important to note that chemical peels may not be effective for bulges, skin sagging, deep scars, or deep facial lines, but we may be able to recommend alternative treatments for these issues.
Batra Medical, Surgical, and Cosmetic Dermatology offers a variety of cosmetic injectables to help improve facial contours, restore volume, reduce wrinkles and unwanted troughs. Our suite of products includes: Belotero® , Juvederm® , Radiesse , Restylane® , RHA® , Sculptra® , and Skinvive™
Our office also offers Xeomin, Dysport, and Daxxify. These injectables have similar active components to Botox, with some differences in concentration and length of effect.

Check two things first: whether your insurance plan needs a referral from your primary care doctor, and whether this practice is in your network. Cosmetic visits are paid out of pocket and need no referral. For a cosmetic treatment, ask who will perform it and how often they do it. For a skin check, a changing mole, a rash or anything that is bleeding or not healing, contact the practice directly and say what you have noticed.
